Online Referencing Tools
There are a number of online tools that can help you format your references:
Cite This for Me:
- This tool can generate the reference entries for you
- Start by selecting the referencing style, your source type and then enter the details of your source
- This tool works best if you manually keep track of the details of your resource
- This tool also allows you to search using the URL or title of your source, however, some information may be missing
Zotero:
- This is a free, downloadable referencing tool
- Once downloaded to your device, you can then colect, organise, cite and share your research
Bibme:
- This tool lets you past the URL of a website or search for your book by the author and title
- You can then select the source that you used and add in any missing information
- Bibme then creates and saves the reference entry
- This website does not have Harvard style, but has MLA, APA and Chicago
Deakin Harvard referencing guide:
- Please be aware that variations of the Harvard style of referencing are used by different universities and publishers. Unlike many other styles, there is no single authority on Harvard style.
Deakin APA referencing guide:
- This resource explains some of the more common applications of the sixth edition of APA (American Psychological Association) style of referencing.
