Referencing

Everything you need to know about referencing, bibliographies, copyright and plagiarism

When referencing websites, your reference list needs to include:

  • name of the organisation or person who made the site
  • name of the site, in italics
  • date you looked at the site
  • complete web address

 

Harvard referencing example:

State Library of Victoria, ergo, viewed 15 March 2019, <http://ergo.slv.vic.gov.au/>

When referencing ebook, your reference list needs to include:

  • author's name – surname followed by first initial
  • year of publication
  • title, in italics
  • publisher
  • date retrieved
  • URL
